Cara

Cara graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and earned her Master of Social Work from Simmons University, where she also obtained a specialized Mental Health Certificate to enhance her role as a Clinical Mental Health Therapist. Her clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, grief, postpartum challenges, and adjustment disorders. Cara's therapeutic approach centers on creating a secure and non-judgmental environment for clients to explore their emotions and experiences. By integrating evidence-based therapies with personalized techniques, she aims to guide and empower individuals from adolescence to adulthood as they navigate life's challenges. Cara is deeply committed to supporting clients on their journey to mental and emotional well-being, offering understanding, encouragement, and hope every step of the way.

On a personal note, Cara is a woman of faith, a mother, and a military wife. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, discovering new foods, and spending quality time with her loved ones. Those who have worked with her often describe her as kind, thorough, and always ready to share a good laugh.

Kyrsten

Kyrsten is an Independently License Social Worker. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Chemical Dependency Counseling from Union College in Kentucky and later completed her Master’s in Social Work at Wright State University. Throughout her career, she has developed competencies in treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, and borderline personality disorder. She is skilled in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and has training in eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), a trauma-focused intervention.

Kyrsten's purpose is to support clients with unconditional positive regard. Her counseling style is direct but infused with kindness, humor, honesty, and empathy. She enjoys using creative approaches when working with clients and strives to think outside the box, particularly when exploring coping strategies. Her role is to listen and help clients shape a better narrative, however they choose to express their story.

DJ

Prior to becoming an Independently Licensed Social Worker, DJ Gingrich served 20 years in the United States Air Force. After his service, he used the GI Bill to earn a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Social Work, both from Wright State University. At Thrive Therapeutics, DJ helps clients address conditions such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, personality disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, major life changes, anger management, and family challenges. Outside of work, DJ is a dedicated husband and parent to five children and stepchildren. He enjoys home renovations, woodworking, camping, and, of course, planning his next trip to New Orleans or the Chesapeake Bay.
